start finding some of the areas in the drawing. From the landscape I notice
that some of the areas not only have a shape or texture but have a movement
within them, ie. all the leaves or stems going in one direction, etc.. The
orange marks on the right are generally either horizontal or vertical, this
causes them to hold the surface of the paper or picture plane. The smeared
white shape and green lines to the left allow the space to recede. The vertical
brown marks from the center to the left start to set up spacial relationships
between themselves and the orange marks on the right.
The blue is used to set a background for the whole drawing, visually it acts as the furthest back but because it overlaps some of the pale green on the left it doesn't just drop out altogether.
